Please, for the love of god, stop saying, "below the fold". In today's world of smartphones, tablets, e-readers with web access, gaming consoles that browse the web, old 4:3 monitors, new 16:9 monitors and many countless other resolutions and aspect ratios, there is no place in a diary that is a "page fold" that is even close to standard for any significant portion of the users that hit this site. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding of web technologies in this modern area and tweaks the mind of us that are web programmers. It was a silent term used in the distant past - and never discussed on the page - when everyone did in fact have similar resolutions and smartphones didn't exist. To me it's like when people start talking about their brand, it opens the curtain for us to see behind and ruins the illusion of that thing or person being real and becoming an object of consumption. I guess that's good for those of us that see it.
Please, oh for the love of god please, stop mentioning page folds.
Just as in The Matrix "There is no fold"
Thanks for reading and know that I'm not trying to deprecate anyone's diary. This is a great place and I read daily. Keep the diaries coming, just stop saying fold! :P
