Were working on 10th day in a row with 95-100 F temperatures here in the cool NW.
"Normal" is the usually in upper 70's, for this time of year.
Long-range forecast, calls for an end to Heat Wave in about a week. (I think they said that same thing about a week ago, lol.)

Northwest Heat Wave By the Numbers: Dozens of Monthly and All-Time Record Highs
by Nick Wiltgen, weather.com -- July 1 2015

Even though June brings the summer solstice, and with it the highest sun angle and longest days of the year over the contiguous United States, the atmosphere usually continues to warm up well into July as it absorbs more heat by day than it loses at night. That balance usually doesn't flip to the negative side until later in the summer months, and that's why the hottest recorded days in most U.S. cities have been in July or August.

Here are my tricks for 'surviving' the Heat:

And frozen Gallon jugs (Water with Rock Salt) in front of a Fan. (aka a "Swamp Cooler.")
(Use the same Rock Salt for making home-made Ice Cream -- somehow it enhances and extends the freezing range. )
If you have any tricks for beating the Heat, feel free to share them.
You just might bring some relief to your fellow-swelterers.
It's going to be a long hot summer, according to the CPC.
