It really does not matter how much I preface this article and try to defend myself, I am going to be tarred and fathered as a homophobic hating Neanderthal regardless of what I say. Regardless, let me get this out of the way first, this article is not meant in anyway to judge gay and lesbians as lesser than. I will admit, as a man of faith, I do believe that homosexuality is a sin. But let me also tell you that I am a man that has sex before marriage, thus my sins are of equal sin to that of any homosexual person. My faith teaches me not to judge, so I am not writing this to in anyway attack the choices that people are either born into or make. I believe that we are all God’s children and that we all are born sinners and are saved by grace.
There, now that I got that out of the way, let me get to the true intent of this article. I am writing this article as a commentary on society as a whole and how we are straying away from nature and our roles therein. I have made one observation in life, regardless of whether or not people are homosexual or heterosexual, in the end one person plays the part of the man and another plays the part of the woman. My belief is that men are supposed to be the provider and the caretaker while women are the nurturers and the caregivers. In that way both men and women play a part the cycle of life and in the family as a whole, so even in gay relationships, ultimately one person plays the more masculine role and the other the feminine role.
Now is my observation scientific, I mean am I an anthropologist or a sociologist. No I am not, but common sense is common sense and we observe and learn regardless of the titles in our names. What I have noticed going on in America for the past ten years or so, ever since metro-sexuality became a trend, is that masculine men are not celebrated anymore, it seems that pop culture is pushing nothing but effeminate lifestyle. I mean damn, men are wearing tighter clothes than women these days. Don’t let me talk about these dudes walking around with their pants around their knees, like do you know how that trend began by the way? Do you know that dudes who started that were actually men who were advertising they were available for the taking in jail to other men. Now the whole of Hip Hop is marketing that as the thing to be, in the process destroying the concept of what it means to be a man.
This is a systematic effort to wipe away the essence and the meaning of what it means to be a masculine man. Look, even in a gay relationship, there are the men who you would never guess were gay as in they don’t act feminine and retain their masculine trait. But if you look at movies and commercials, the only men who are portrayed as gay are the ones who act feminine. Thus even in the gay community, masculinity is being discouraged and the only thing that is pushed is how to be an emasculated man. In a way, this is reverse bigotry, I don’t understand why gay folk don’t get mad that all of them are portrayed in the media as “flaming feministas”.
I know one thing, if you want to subdue a culture you target the men first. You make the men absent fathers and you take away their motivation to be the providers and the whole culture falls apart. Why do you think the Lyndon Baines Johnson administration, by the way LBJ was a rampant racist, pushed “the Great Society” on America. It was an attempt to destroy the “black family” by pushing men out of the picture and giving incentive for men not to work. Do you know what happens when men don’t work, when they don’t have a drive to be providers? Men die spiritually and then they pick up habits like drinking and smoking and in the process they take the community down with them. Funny how diabolical plans always have blow backs, now every section of American–regardless of race–is being destroyed by the welfare state as the government has become the fathers and in the process has erased real fathers from the family picture.
But destroying the family structure was not enough for the government and those who own the government, they had to come up with an agenda where pushing a lifestyle became a means to take the morality out of people. So we have a society now that is oversexed and over feminized. Little girls are taught to be sexual before they become teenagers by these shows on TV that market eroticism in ways I still have a hard time understanding that we allow. Remember when the Disney channel was about Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck? Not anymore, now they have teenagers dressed up like tramps and selling sex to girls who should be otherwise playing with dolls. This is akin to the molestation of children by pop culture, why do we have to take away the innocence of youths by encouraging them to grow up before they reach double digits in age?
The same thing with boys, I can’t think of one masculine role model anymore, it seems that everyone is running to look like a chic. Maybe I am old fashioned, but to me sex should not even be openly advertised. Grant it, I am the same man who has had his fair share of wild stories with too many women in my past, but at some point enough is enough plus I would like to think most of my adventures were private. Why does sex and sexuality have to be openly celebrated, good God there are children out there. I accept the right for the GLTB community to pursue happiness and have the rights I have, but I do not want any sexual agenda regardless of orientation to be pushed on me or my children and if that makes me a hater then we live in a twisted world.
This country is falling apart at its seams and I believe in my heart it’s because we men are not stepping up and doing our part. But then again if kids are being taught from the time they are kids these days to act like fools singing nursery rhymes sold as rap in their twenties and all the role models these days are men who wear skinny jeans and who walk around with their pants hanging off their asses, what else do you expect other than these men to be absent fathers. It is time for us men, irrespective of our preference, to step up and let children know that it there is a part for the strong and providing men and that we have a part to play in our community. Or else what we will have is the evaporation of men and what will be left is an emasculated culture and a country that is going down the drain.
