Yes son, I believe that car made an illegal lane change.
Jefferson County, IL is the latest...county...to add "In God We Trust"
to their police cruisers.
“This is our national motto, it’s on every bit of our currency, it’s important, it’s the moral fabric of what our country’s made of,” Jefferson Co. sheriff, Travis Allen said.
That’s why Sheriff Allen said he’s putting “In God We Trust” on his squad cars.
The stickers will be placed on all 12 marked cars; a decision drawing mixed reaction from the community.
The reactions are what you would expect, from yay America to seriously?
Unfortunately, there has been a tiny, silly movement to do this kind of thing. Two places in Missouri:
It is a motto some of our sheriff's in the ozarks want on patrol cars and Stone County is the latest to do it. You will soon see "In God We Trust" on patrol cars there.
"It is part of our heritage it is patriotic. "In God We Trust" has been our national motto since 1956," says Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader.
Other things that are a part of our "heritage" and that have been considered "patriotic":
- Racism
- Slavery
- Denying women the right to vote
“There’s no doubt this will offend somebody,” Sheriff Allen said. “My answer to that is that I’m never going to apologize for loving God, loving America and loving the principles this country was founded on. That’s why we’re all here today.”
Sheriff Allen said a local business has donated all of the stickers and they will be placed on the squad cars next week.
Why this movement is happening now is anybody's guess—I'll guess fear, bigotry, the threat of Obama's caliphate. If you have any sticker ideas for the police put them in the comments.
