This was a comment I wrote and thought I'd write a quick diary just to let people know that the event today was incredible and it shouldn't be tainted by the disruptors.
For approximately the first hour and fifty minutes, there were incredible speakers and they were very inspirational.
I'm sorry, I don't have the link to the entire event. (Maybe someone can help me with this.)
Anyway, here is my comment:
This whole event is going to be tainted by a few people, but I really want to emphasize to everyone reading this that the first hour and fifty minutes of several speakers was absolutely incredible for The People.
If you have a chance to watch the whole thing, it's well worth it. And no, I don't have a link to the video of that time.
Antitheist started a Livestream diary at 4:01 p.m. EDST, and I started watching all the speakers within 10 minutes. And no, not all the speakers were white. And yes, Black Lives Matter was addressed in speeches prior to Bernie arriving on stage as the last speaker.
You'll find the list of speakers in the link below. And after hearing Hon. Kshama Sawant, I commented that I think she should be Bernie's vice presidential choice. I had never heard of her before but I was truly impressed.
No, Bernie did not have the opportunity to speak at this event, but I hope people don't forget to watch the speakers that came before him. They are fighters for the 99%. You should watch it, I think.
Let's not let the rude disruptors ruin the event for everyone. Many important issues were raised and inspirational words were said.
And oh, yeah, it's way past time that Bernie gets Secret Service protection. I cringed when he walked through the crowd to greet people all by himself before he left the venue.

Update: On the face of it, it looks like that the disruptors are not part of BLM, that they acted on their own (or maybe on behalf of others, who knows.)
I want to give the proper credit for this information, so I'll just link a thread here:
