Stay with me--so, we all know that it's a terrible idea to actually vote for the guy we want, Bernie Sanders, because he'll just have a GOP congress, right? So--I guess this is where the logic is going--we vote for ANOTHER Democratic candidate, and that will magically do... I don't quite know what. Or maybe we vote for the GOP candidate, because there's no hope?
But--stay with me--what about if we take the pretty wild momentum that Bernie Sanders continues to generate, and tie it to a nationwide movement to vote in congresspeople, senators, state senators, and state assemblypeople, who are also congenial to social-democratic policies that function really well in Europe? I know it's crazy, but it just might work!
I just have a hunch (again, call me crazy) that these well-energized Sanders voters MIGHT also be amenable to voting for progressive congresspeople and assemblypeople, as long as they're already in the voting booth. Progressive congresspeople who want to change the status quo.
IF you're really interested in doing so.
Russ Feingold, for example, and several other progressives, could be elected in 2016. What do you think?
