Chuck Todd did something he hasn't done for years and grilled a politician and held that person to the fire. That politician happened to be Hillary Rodham Clinton.
As I watched this interview, I couldn't help but think where the heck this Chuckie has been all these years, as he sat idly by and allowed the dysfunctional Republican Party off the hook time and time again.
Time and time again, old Chuckie threw his share of GOP softball questions and allowed Republicans to regurgitate talking points. Now here he was in all his glory, going after Hillary and asking the tough questions. Not that he shouldn't ask the tough questions, mind you. But where was Chuckie when the GOP was acting like a bunch of fools?
Where was old Chuckie when the GOP was lying about Obamacare ad nauseam?
The hypocrisy of the Chuckster is staggering, especially since he's basically been AWOL for 7 years of total anarchy by the GOP.
I'll say this to Bernie backers, who are hailing this crap as some kind of Edward R. Murrow piece, remember that Chuck Todd has been a mouthpiece for all the dysfunction in DC and now he goes after Hillary and he's being hailed a journalist by some.
Hillary Clinton may not be your candidate of choice, but she's been a great public servant and she's put up with a lot of crap from Republicans. She may even be your nominee and if Bernie is our nominee, don't think old Chuckie won't go after him with the same zeal, while he allows the GOP nominee to regurgitate talking points.
I have to wonder what Tim Russert would have been doing these last 7 years. I'm sure he would have worn out the GOP's antics. Don't ever forget this, Chuck Todd has been sitting on his hands for 7 years and the GOP has been screwing the country over during that time.

Chuck Todd: It's Not Media's Job To Correct GOP's Obamacare Falsehoods
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/...
I don't want to see the Republican primary race or any presidential race turn into a three-ring circus and us, you know, sitting there going isn't this great? And look at the shiny metal objects. It's not fair to what is the strongest Republican party presidential field in 36 years.

During a roundtable discussion with several comedians Meet The Press’s Chuck Todd made excuses for why he lets Republicans get away with saying things that aren’t true. Lewis Black asked Todd how he put up with guests who babble on with their talking points without barking at them, and Todd’s answer revealed why people don’t trust the media.
The Meet The Press host said, “We all sit there, because we all know, the first time we bark is the last time that they do the show. You say something, and sometimes it is last time they will ever come on your show. There is that balance.”
