Marco Rubio is feeling his oats. With Walker out and Bush bumbling, Rubio suddenly seems relevant again. Now he's turned his young guns at front-runner Donald Trump,
telling NPR he doesn't want to get into a spat with The Donald—except that he obviously does.
“I’m not interested in the back and forth — to be a member or a part of his freak show,” the Republican presidential candidate remarked. “I would just say this: He is a very sensitive person; he doesn’t like to be criticized. He responds to criticism very poorly.”
The comments echo what Rubio told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly last Thursday, when he called the billionaire mogul “thin-skinned and sensitive to criticism” and someone who “can’t have a conversation about policy because quite frankly he doesn’t know anything about policy.
This could actually get interesting. Conservatives actually like Rubio even as they despise Jeb! Whereas Trump's potshots at Jeb! have been damning, his swipe at Rubio (calling him a "clown")
drew boos from the crowd at the Values Voter summit last Friday.
