According to the Washington Post, the execution of Richard Glossip was stayed by Gov Mary Fallin over the drug regime employed the report said.
Earlier, all hope appeared to be lost as the US Supreme Court rejected a last minute appeal just before his 3 PM CT execution was scheduled to begin as Justice Breyer dissented:
“The application for stay of execution of sentence of death presented to Justice Sotomayor and by her referred to the Court is denied. The petition for a writ of certiorari is denied.”

Celebrities including Pope Francis, Sister Helen Prejean, and billionaire Richard Branson all engage personally on behalf of Glossip
Archbishop Vigano delivered a message on Pope Francis' behalf, stating:
“a commutation of Mr. Glossip’s sentence would give clearer witness to the value and dignity of every person’s life.”
Sister Prejean, who has been a close companion to Glossip over the last months, tweeted this morning:
Regardless of what happens this afternoon, the fire in me to end the death penalty burns brighter than ever.

Richard Branson published a letter in The Oklahoman newspaper stating the execution should be delayed in part because:
guilt has not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt.”

MoveOn.org petition gathered over 248,000 signers to save Richard's life.
The execution is stayed until November 6th, hopefully this time justice will triumph over process and a new trial will be granted.
