"I keep all my mags full. I keep two full mags in my Glock case. And the ARs & AKs all have loaded mags. No one will be 'dropping' by my house uninvited without (acknowledgment)," the user Tweety Bird (Laurel Harper) wrote.
Well, lady. Guess what. You are as responsible for your son's death - and those he murdered - as he is.
There is no excuse in the United States to have that many guns, that many rounds, and that much fear of the world and your government. It's people like you - scared, cowardly, ultra-conservative mice - who have created an environment where gun death in this country has become something of a slow moving holocaust.
But the sad part of it? You'll never change. Your opinions will never change. Your hatred of everything and everyone not like you will never change. Your belief that more guns in more hands will be safer even though every study in the world has proven otherwise will never change one brain cell of one portion of anything in you.
Now, your son has killed some wonderful people who will never have a future, never see their mother again, and never spread their kindness where it is needed. And you supplied the guns for this massacre. Sure, you can rationalize it by suggesting that you didn't tell him to take those guns or didn't pull the trigger, but there's a greater truth beyond the simple facts. Just as Adam Lanza's mother callously and stupidly allowed her son access to a death machine I wouldn't want any of my kids near in a million years you made it okay to let your kid play with guns and adopt your philosophy that the world the enemy - and your child listened.
As for the rest of us? We don't see the world like you and your gun nut friends do. My father was a rifle's instructor in the Marines during WWII. We never had a gun in the house. He knew the deadly nature of them.
Myself and many of my friends were in NYC on 9/11 (a few of them even working in the trade center). We know what it's like to be attacked. But not one of us has a gun in the house. Why? Because we've seen the enemy first hand and will not run scared from them. We continue our lives without being paranoid or rushing to the safety of politicians and others who would happily prey on our fears.
And I know gun enthusiasts. And they're all alike. Fear hidden by bravado. Quiet racism in the guise of jokes. A hatred for democrats that knows no end. And, most of all, a love of guns that trumps their love of people.
And they, like you, think they are the one's who are right in this world.
Shame on you. You are too ignorant to know what you are.
