Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper in Times Square perhaps do more than any terrorist could on New Year’s Eve although missing was the drag queen drop in the giant shoe in Key West to be replaced by the rising 300 pound steel version of a Hershey’s Kiss in PA. This year featured no terrorist attacks on any public events...Thanks Obama!
I used to worry about it a lot. I used to try to figure out how to kind of reel her in, but now I’ve given up. She prepares a lot, she’s got a lot of funny material, she’s got stuff rearing to go, and I basically have given up trying to prepare anything. I just assume a sort of braced position and go along for the ride.

So while we continue to shake our heads in DK about how CNN is really FoxNews Lite, we cannot avoid watching the live trainwreck that is New Years Eve on CNN, after all it gives a LGBT spin to what used to be a pretty straight telecast particularly if you’re old enough to remember Guy Lombado and the Royal Canadians. Like Watergate, our long national nightmare of New Years Eves is not over, so prepare to celebrate beginning another crappy year...
How can we be nice to each other in 2016 if we're wetting our pants over less meaningful things?
Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin may get into some weird shenanigans on New Year's Eve each year, but there's a reason CNN keeps bringing them back.
The duo led the network to No. 1 in cable news Wednesday night during their New Year's Eve coverage, according to CNN's press release. CNN brought in 1.597 million total viewers and 729,000 viewers in the key age demographic (25-54) from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Fox News came in second, with 1.170 million total viewers and 209,000 in the key demo.
So stuff like webpages suck, but consider that for new year’s eve, in terms of gravity and dropping globes, was Godwin’s nutsack half-full or half-empty.
If nothing else, a good reason for the ‘baggers to want to suck more during 2016.
How much did 2015 suck that you might actually not make resolutions but actually move beyond speech acts and actually do something this coming year 2016?
As this flesh vessel has written before, social situations are extremely awkward and it can be borderline impossible to accurately judge others. As such, we have a tendency to be a lot less civil toward other people than many situations would technically permit.
It's not as if you even need to do anything much, compared to stuff like shedding pounds or quitting smoking - just be, say, 20 percent nicer to the people around you. Odds are you'll be surprised how much it improves the quality of your life without any real extra effort.
At the end of the Great Depression, about a quarter of American adults formed New Year's resolutions. At the start of the 21st century, about 40% did…
The most common reason for participants failing their New Years' Resolutions was setting themselves unrealistic goals (35%), while 33% didn't keep track of their progress and a further 23% forgot about it. About one in 10 respondents claimed they made too many resolutions.
So, what’s your f________g problem this week, month, year so far?
