As Iowa approaches and the candidates seek to consolidate or increase their positions in the polls, a new endorsement, yet another from one who knows the political system and government has come in:
U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx has announced his endorsement of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Fox, Charlotte's former mayor, called Clinton “a champion of American families.”
“Hillary Clinton is my candidate for President of the United States,” he said in a statement.
Yet another point to Hillary’s monster endorsement primary lead.
It is a nice exclamation point to Hillary’s consistent lead among non-white voters, especially African-Americans, who are among the most loyal Democratic voters out there. Foxx, currently in the Obama admin, was previously mayor of Charlotte, NC, a swing state that went Obama in 2008 tho went to Romney in 2012. NC is close (obvi) to South Carolina, where Hillary Clinton’s advantage among moderate white Dems and huge advantage with black Democrats has given her a behemoth sized lead in the Palmetto State. It’s also close to Virginia, where Terry McAuliffe is gov.
