Perhaps the question is “Are you still kidding me???” Here is a clip from Meet the Press with all of the panelists just sitting in shock and amazement that Bernie Sanders is doing so well. And then Jeff Greenfield, very nonchalantly asks (I’m sorry, but I couldn’t find text of him saying this, but it is in the linked clip):
“The question is: what if Hillary Clinton actually loses in Iowa and New Hampshire? There is no plan B.”
Greenfield doesn’t mean that there’s “no plan B” for Hillary Clinton. He very clearly means for the Democratic Party:
“I think the Democrats have been building this exquisite trap for themselves. If this obvious front-runner, presumptive nominee looks...weak. What’s... plan...B?”
And no one suggests, well then, Senator Sanders might be the nominee; and possibly an even better one since, as is demonstrated clearly in the very poll they’re discussing, he’s actually doing better than Hillary in the one-to-one match-ups against the GOP candidates.
It is still simply unacceptable, in the mainstream media, after all this time, that Bernie Sanders could ever be considered, or allowed, to be the Democratic Presidential nominee.
Incredible….
