Current trends are continually showing that the most Electable Democratic Party option for the fall General Election is: Senator Bernie Sanders.
There are many correlating and common sense factors that explain this, which I will summarize below…..but first, let’s hear from Bernie Sanders himself on this subject:
—
Another fun fact: The “Mock Election” poll conducted by Western Illinois University, which has a perfect track record of correctly predicting who the next Presidential winner will be, dating back to the 1970s, just recently came out. Guess who was the winner?

Another obvious reason why Sanders is the best option, for anyone wanting to see the GOP not take the White House again, is the matter of voter turnout.
When voter turnout is high (1960, 1976, 1992, 2008) the Democrats always win the election. Similarly, Democrats usually and routinely lose the Mid-Term Elections because they typically fail to come out and show up at the polls (voter turnout is very low) — as a result of what they see as a list of broken promises and lack of a clear and compelling message.
It is not hard to understand this. The wealthy, rich, organized interests in this Country can only be defeated by a very large turnout coming from ordinary, average Americans who want to drive real political and social change.
That can only happen when voters are truly inspired, and have an actual reason to be inspired. As evidenced by the historic crowd sizes that attend the rallies of Bernie Sanders (which dwarf all other candidates), record voter turnouts will not be happening with yet another face-of-the-Establishment candidate — who most people instinctively recognize as being “scripted”, phony, and uninspiring.
Furthermore the Establishment candidates almost often have a track record and history that directly contradicts their revisionist new campaign “promises”, and rhetoric.
"The brilliance of Bill Clinton was that he transformed the Democratic Party into the Republican Party. And he pushed the Republican Party so far to the right ... it became insane."
--Pulitzer Prize journalist Chris Hedges
It will be hard to attract new voters and new excitement in large numbers, when you have been a star salesperson and marketeer for the instantly recognizable failed, corrupt, and status-quo establishment-designed policies that have created all of the problems:
Voters may be dumb about a lot things, but one thing they do know is that you cannot be both the source of the problems .. and yet “the solution”.
Hillary Clinton faces the same problem that Jeb Bush has been facing: They are the face of the Establishment…..been there, done that. Clearly, this ain’t the answer folks.
Only one candidate brings about real authenticity. An authenticity that is also backed up by lifelong political activism.
If there is one thing that Independents, and Republican voters like and respect is strength. Establishment Democrats usually fail that test, because they are trying too hard to straddle some fine, incomprehensible line between conservative and progressive policies. The result is that they do not appear to stand for anything. And even their so-called “reforms” are merely an unimaginative tinkering around with a few taxes, or regulations, or gimmicks — which can always be ignored by the wealthy anyway.
So there is no big theme, no big idea, no compelling message, no reason to be inspired. Thus, given a choice between a candidate that isn't saying much of anything, and a candidate that sounds bold — Americans will most often go for the bolder candidate. This is why the GOP wins most elections. They are wrong about everything, but they are also clear, bold…..and people see that they aren’t tinkering around. That’s the part that people like.
Bernie Sanders message is as bold and strong as they come. Like successful GOP messaging, Sanders assigns blame very clearly -— but not misdirected on ethnic groups and the unfortunate. Bernie Sanders message identifies and directs the blame on squarely the Oligarchical economic powers that have ruined this Country, and the failed and corrupt policies that we have been getting for the last 40+ years. And his solutions are rooted in an extension of the popular FDR-agenda that made this Country great, and … with Sanders — there is no tinkering around, double-talk, or cheap gimmicks. Sanders policy is real policy; policy that works.
Voters of all stripes instinctively understand that the game is tilted, and that the deck is stacked against them. They get that. But only a big message can inspire, and Sanders has the message that is big, can really inspire, and attract new voters, the independents, and also even some disaffected GOP voters.
This is why Sanders will win the General Election. A strong Democratic Party would alter the political landscape, and put fear into the GOP for the first time. You cannot have a strong Democratic Party without also having a strong and clear public policy contrast, and a clear ideological contrast.
Imagine having a revitalized, strong Democratic Party once again, that proudly reasserts the successful FDR-policy Agenda again, and with an authentic nominee who is never afraid to stand up and aggressively defend it.
It’s pretty clear that a low-energy, low-turnout election in November would be disastrous for Democrats. But by energizing and engaging young people, which everyone has seen Sanders do across the country, and voters that do not often participate in elections, we can create the type of wave that will create big gains for Democrats in the Congress and at the state level while continuing us having a Democrat in the White House.
Sanders, the longest-serving independent in Congress, is better positioned to reach out to Republicans and independents than Clinton.
"He has a proven track in Vermont of appealing to Republicans, and particularly rural Republicans," Jeff Weaver explained. In Vermont, it's not uncommon to see a yard sign for Sanders sharing space with one for a conservative Republican candidate. And his campaign is making a real effort to reach out to people interested in Trump, after finding there are a surprisingly large number of voters attracted to both populist candidates”.
Make The Democratic Party GREAT once again!
