Today is the first caucus. I don’t know how close it will be or who will win. But I do know who the best candidate is, and that is Hillary Clinton. She is strong on issues, she doesn’t shy away from the hard questions. She understands foreign policy, it isn’t an after thought. She can admit when she is wrong. She can evolve on issues, because she is willing to listen and learn. I believe that is a good thing. If you are not willing to evolve and learn and expand; you are stagnant and that isn’t a good thing. We are a evolving world and we need to evolve with it. This is the kind of President we need. A true fighter. One who will fight for all of us.
"If you will go caucus for me Monday night, if you will go stand up for me here, if you will be there for me, I promise you this, I will stand for you," — Hillary Clinton

She is also calling for one of the next debates to be held in Flint.
Hillary on her journey to Iowa.
Back in April, I began my journey as a presidential candidate with a visit to Iowa. Today—nearly 10 months and 160,000 miles of travel later—our campaign has come full circle: America’s first voters are about to begin electing our next president. From the very beginning, I wanted this campaign to be a little different. So instead of kicking things off with a big speech, we headed out to talk directly with people—in coffee shops, at churches, in backyards, at community colleges, and yes, at a Chipotle in Maumee, Ohio. -— Hillary
This is what she has done, she has talked directly to the people. She wanted to know their concerns and needs.
I got into this race because I want to improve the lives of all Americans—and I’m going to continue to work my heart out. I hope you’ll join me. — Hillary
Then there were the issues that simply came up again and again—like substance abuse, the rising cost of prescription drugs, and the struggle to care for loved ones who are aging or have disabilities. — Hillary
Hillary
Hillary early on knew that she would be an advocate for children, the disenfranchised, and a litany of other issues. She knew she wanted to help improve people lives; the same holds true today. She has put out her plans for the future, our future. In my opinion her plans are the best way forward.
She has traveled the world advocating women’s rights and L.G.B.T. rights. But no matter how much she has accomplished in life, no matter how much progress she has made in the world; she is vilified by the right and left. She is even blamed for her husbands actions. However, through all of the negativity, the vitriol, and false accusations she is still standing.
Hillary is still standing and ready to fight for all of us. Yes, there will be difficult challenges ahead and we need a strong President to take them on. Hillary is that President. She is ready to take on Wall Street. She is ready to take President Obama's policies and expand them, not dismantle them. She is ready for events that may happen foreign and domestic. She wants to help middle class families, the L.G.B.T community, women, B.L.M., voting rights, gun control, she is an advocate for Alzheimer’s research, and she believes in climate change and wants to actually do something about it before it is too late. These are just a few of the issues Hillary will work on as President. I posted a list at the bottom of this page with more of Hillary’s issues.
Hillary is ready right now. She stood up to the Benghazi committee (all 11 hours) and came out on top. She is the most accomplished and prepared candidate running for president. She is ready to take on congress to get things going and make the progress this country needs.
She is a fighter and she is fighting for us today. She doesn't give up, no matter how tough the situation is. She will fight for us and we need to fight for her. We need to be strong advocates here on Daily Kos and in our communities. Stay strong. We need to build up not tear down. We need to make sure she is still standing and the end of this primary. Support Hillary in a way that will make her proud.
We shouldn’t get in to pie fights with Bernie supporters, it doesn’t do any good. We won’t change their minds. Be positive, don’t feed the negativity.
For a list of Hillary’s issues go to her website and read a more in depth blue print on each issue. https://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/. Listed below are a few...
- Substance use disorder and addiction
- Through improved treatment, prevention, and training, we can end this quiet epidemic once and for all.
- Veterans, the armed forces, and their families
- America must fully commit to supporting veterans.
- Voting rights
- We should be making it easier to vote, not harder.
- Wall Street and corporate America
- Wall Street must work for Main Street
- Women’s rights and opportunity
I will be voting for Hillary in the primary, should she not win- I will support Bernie Sanders in the G.E... It’s imperative that we have a Democrat in the White House.
Hillary is still standing and ready to fight for all of us.
