Welcome to the Thursday Coffee Hour here on Street Prophets. This is an open thread where we can hang out and talk about what’s going on in our worlds. Ireland has had a diverse, divisive, repressive, and often violent heritage with regard to religion, particularly with regard to Christianity and its two primary divisions: Catholics and Protestants.
Ireland is filled with a variety of different kinds of Christian churches, ranging structures dating to the very beginnings of Christianity to the medieval period to the reformation and the suppression of Catholicism by the British Protestants. What follows are simply some pictures of some of the Irish churches.
This is an open thread. Feel free to talk about what’s going on in your life. What have you been thinking about lately? And, finally, what’s for dinner?
