I’m a Bernie supporter, and though it’s still not over, I’m not going to ignore this sign.
If, as a Hillary supporter, you believe you’ve as good as won after this — and I would if I were you — then please: your main concern right now should be mending fences with Bernie’s supporters. Talk about how good it was that he pulled her to the left, or about how he stayed classy in not attacking her on emails or whitewater or Benghazi. Do not try to rub anybody’s nose in this, or call anybody a “Berniebro”. (Of course, calling out misogyny is always needed, but now is not the time to be too picky with any questionable dogwhistles; I’d ask to focus on just the overt stuff for the moment.)
We are going to need to work together to beat the Republicans. If Hillary does win, we’ll need as many Bernie supporters as possible. Even the ones who you think have been exaggerating every perceived Hillary flaw for the past 6 months. Be gracious, starting now, or we will lose.
