I’d be the last one to claim this poll (Voting For Hillary?) as being “definitive” by any stretch of the imagination. But I think it may be fair to deduce something significant from it. The fact that about half of the Sanders supporters on this site will not vote for Hillary Clinton under any circumstances may, in part, explain the discrepancy between how much better Sanders does against Republicans in national match-ups than Hillary does. Of course, that Independents favor Bernie far more than Hillary is also significant (perhaps more so). But it’s interesting to me that the media hasn’t made much of this (it sounds just like the kind of “story” they swoon over). I guess it’s for the best that they haven’t yet. And I’m sure it’s a bound to be a great “see-if-she-loses-whose-fault-would-that-be?” argument by Hillary supporters (not appreciating we Sanders supporters’ position at all).
But, I’m not sure what to make of this, or frankly what the effect would be, in general, should it ever gain traction.
