As far as I am concerned you can add to Hillary Clinton's Trust problem a respect problem. She is now acting like Ted Cruz by intentionally making statements that are not entirely inaccurate but are horribly deceptive. Last night she repeated her deceptive charge that Bernie Sanders opposed the auto bailout, knowing full well that he voted for it. She defended this on the grounds that the funding for the auto bail out was placed in a bill to bail out Wall Street (in order to get Senators to vote for the Wall Street bailout) and that Bernie Sanders voted against that funding bill. Whether a bill funding the auto bailout could have been passed on its own is open for debate, but the way Hillary frames the issue is deliberately deceptive. Unfortunately she has now gone much father than that deception. I think her loss in Michigan must have sent her into a panic, because she actually stooped to a level that would embarrass even the worst Republican demagogue.
In reply to Bernie Sanders pointing out the Wall Street super pac supporting Hillary Cinton, she said: "I just think it’s worth pointing out that the leaders of the fossil fuel industry, the Koch brothers, have just paid to put up an ad praising Senator Sanders...” Hillary added that there are “a lot of different powerful interests in Washington. I’ve taken them on.” As the Washington Post pointed out “[s]he didn't explain the comment, or add any nuance about how the ad was simply noting the organization's agreement with a very specific non-oil-related policy of Sanders.” In another article the Post also said that “[w]hile Sanders and the Koch organization both oppose the [Export-Import] bank, it’s clear that they come at it from different angles. Freedom Partners wants to cut government spending. Sanders wants to stop bolstering big companies.”
Hillary Clinton knows damn well that the election of Bernie Sanders would be the Koch Brothers worst nightmare, but she is obviously willing to wallow in the slime of innuendo and scandalous deception to get what she wants. I have defended her in the past, but I have now lost all respect for her! I will vote against any and all Republicans; I love this country too much to do otherwise, but doing so if Hillary is the Democratic nominee is going to feel like having to choose what kind of cancer I would prefer to have! I cannot in good conscience support her!
