Someone please write this diary. I don't have time for this right now.
The blatantly ridiculous story being peddled by Kos and other Hillary surrogates that somehow Bernie lost Kloppenburg's race for her last night needs to be flattened like the dead pancake it is.
Here's a very simple question: How many Democratic voters would have shown up last night if Bernie wasn't on the ballot? If Bernie had listened to Kos and other Hillary supporters and dropped out of the race, how many Democratic voters do you actually think would've shown up?
This is one of the silliest arguments I have heard made during this election. And that is saying something.
Christ, having Bernie on the ballot was the best chance Kloppenburg ever had.
And here's another inconvenient truth, if Kloppenburg can't win during record turnout for Democratic voters then guess what? She couldn't win. And do you actually think that record turnout would've happened if only Hillary were on the ballot?
Good god. Someone please wake me from this horrible dream.
EDIT: OK, it seems some posters are having an issue with this:
The blatantly ridiculous story being peddled by Kos and other Hillary surrogates that somehow Bernie lost Kloppenburg's race for her
They're saying that Kos never said this. No not directly. But it is suggested indirectly. And Hillary supporters have in fact made that argument. They’ve said that Bernie didn't do enough and even lied, saying that he never mentioned her name in his speeches in Wisconsin. Which is patently false. Just answer the questions I posed above. If you can't do that then don't bother commenting.
