Dental anxiety and phobia are extremely common. It has been estimated that 9% to 15% of Americans avoid seeing the dentist because of anxiety and fear. That's about 30 million to 40 million people. In a survey by the British Dental Health Foundation, 36% of those who didn't see a dentist regularly said that fear was the main reason.
I have had major surgeries, I’ve had minor surgeries…. I’ve had oral surgeries… and let me tell you I would rather have major surgery than dental surgery anytime.
I *hate* going to the dentist. I have the worst luck at the dentist, so where do I spend too much time when I go? Of course at the dentist. I avoid going so of course I end up spending extra time there.
So this weekend a filling fell out so now I have to go have an emergency appointment that I am *NOT* looking forward to on Friday. It is two days after my trial… so this week is just shaping up to be one of nerves for me.
Oy.
