Chalk this up into “Will help Democratic Nominee win the Presidency”.
Despite years of languishing in negative Job Approval and Favorables, Obama has final hit 50% Job Approval and is positive in Favorability polls in aggregate.
As 538 pointed out back in January, this is real growth in his Approval numbers. Even back then, they argued that if this continues, Obama will go from being a drag on the Democratic nominee to an asset.

Well, it continued! Obama is the asset we needed him to be and will most likely be campaigning along-side Democratic Candidates in the Senate and the House this fall as we fight to take back both chambers for the next President.
And while 538 isn’t always right (see this article about Obama unlikely to improve more than 2 points in approval ratings fivethirtyeight.com/...), they have commented repeatedly that approval ratings of the sitting President does factor into the electability of that party’s next nominee for President. Its a small factor, but everything helps.
