As vice president of research, I deal with facts, not speculation. So you can be sure I'm feeling confident in any race projections I send you.
Last week Larry Sabato, a respected political scientist who rates likely outcomes of elections on Sabato's Crystal Ball, changed the ratings of six Senate seats that now look more Democratic. And here's the best part — we have women running in two of them.
Sabato moved Pennsylvania from leans Republican to toss-up and North Carolina from likely Republican to leans Republican.
Our candidates are making major progress in their races. We can take back the Senate this year and get rid of the worst Republicans in the House, and this community will help make it happen.
Donate to help give our candidates the resources they need to turn and keep important seats blue.
These ratings are great news for our women running for these Senate seats in Pennsylvania and North Carolina — Katie McGinty and Deborah Ross.
And it isn't just one source saying things are looking good for our candidates. The Cook Political Report shifted the Pennsylvania and New Hampshire Senate races in our favor, as well as Virginia's 10th District, where LuAnn Bennett is running, and New York's 24th District, where we're supporting Colleen Deacon.
Given the incredible candidates we have and the offensive candidates Republicans are running with, it's no surprise that voters are gravitating toward our Democrats. We have the chance to flip the Senate and unseat anti-woman House Republicans in 2016, but we can't let up now.
Help move more seats to be Democratic strongholds. Donate to EMILY's List today:
