That was what the sign I carried today at the protest against NC’s HB2 said.
I am still looking for any video I did get interviewed, not sure if any of it got aired, but here is a link to a print article, found this on the site for the newspaper in ST. LOUIS!! Can you imagine?

As I explained to those who interviewed me today:
Sexual predators and pedophiles already do not respect the law. So what in all the seven hells makes our legislators think that they will respect THIS law?
If they would go into the restroom before this law, they will also do so afterward.
So what they have accomplished here is protecting nobody...preventing nothing...but they have placed a very large bulls-eye on my back!
The fear, paranoia, and loathing that our legislature has fomented in the promoting and passing of this legislation has increased the likelihood I will be attacked in a restroom that, not ONLY am I legally entitled to use...BUT AM IN FACT REQUIRED BY LAW TO USE!!
You see, I am post-op transsexual, male to female. My birth certificate has been changed to reflect my correct gender. So now, as I put it among friends at the rally (NOT to the news media) - I got the dox and I got the box! Needless to say several folks spit coffee at that one!
The point is, though...I am legally entitled to use the ladies room, and now even legally required to...which I am okay with. But I am NOT okay with the loss of my REASONABLE PRESUMPTION of safety. Prior to this legislation, I had it. Now, I don’t, because of the fear and loathing fomented by those who supported and passed this hateful legislation, I am now legally required to place myself in extreme physical peril to use the restroom...and it is a direct result of the actions of my Governor and my Legislature.
No law can absolutely guarantee anyone’s safety...but EVERYONE should have a right to a reasonable presumption of safety. I and my fellow transgender people...both pre- and post-op...no longer have that REASONABLE PRESUMPTION.
