Up until Bernie’s Washington Square rally and even a NYC rally Bernie did not attend, Oregon held the record of 28,000 for Bernie’s largest rally way back in August. Ever since then, Oregonians have been poised with breathless anticipation to vote for Bernie. Bernie has called the Pacific Northwest the most progressive region in the nation for good cause.
Oregon can pitch a perfect game and deliver the state up to Bernie. It all depends upon Oregonians themselves.

REGISTER OTHERS TO VOTE:
Because Oregon has closed primaries, one of the most important things we can do to help Bernie win is to register Bernie supporters as Democrats. To do this, there are several things you should know:
- Voter registration forms can be obtained from County Elections offices. As a citizen, you can pick up a handful and register others.
- In Oregon, anyone can register another person to vote.
-
Organizers of voter registration drives must hand deliver or mail in completed forms to a County Elections office within five calendar days.
- If mailing in a paper registration form to register or to change party affiliation, the form must be postmarked by April 26th.
- Organizers of voter registration drives cannot coerce people to register with a particular political party.
- Homeless U.S. citizens have the right to vote The voter must provide a residence address on the voter registration form. This residence address may be any definable location within the county that describes their physical location. This could be a shelter, park, motor home, or other identifiable location (e.g. under Harrison St Bridge). The mailing address of a person who is homeless or who resides where mail service is unavailable can be the Office of the County Clerk. The voter can pick up a ballot at the County Elections office.
- 17-year-old citizens can register and vote in a primary if they will be 18 by the time of the general election.
