that has Clinton leading but only by 53-43, that ten point margin being the narrowest I have seen recently.
I started going through the crosstabs for New York and came up with something interesting:
among Dem voters, Clinton percentages first
More electable 67-33
Understands people like me 46-54
Effective getting things done 66-34
Authentic 37-63
Specific about policies 61-39
Honest & trustworthy 38-62
Several quick comments
First that all percentages add to 100% means voters were pushed, and I do not know how much that distorts the results
Second, it seems clear that issues of electability, effectiveness and specificity ultimately outweigh softer issues like understanding,authenticity, and honesty/trust.
So what really matters to voters?
