Bill O'Reilly on Talking Points, April 15
If you are going to say that the two Democrats running for president both favor pretty much abortion at any time, for any reason, and they hide behind the women's health issue, but that could be a migraine headache, you know. OK, I don't want to have the kid, my boyfriend left me, my husband left me, whatever it may be, I got a migraine, kid is going to be born next week. Let's get …

Democrat Kirsten Powers interrupted at that point, "I don't think that many people get abortions because they have a migraine headache."
Undeterred, O'Reilly continued:
O'Reilly: OK, it doesn't matter. It's theoretical. When you have two candidates saying they don't want any limitations in the law place, they don't want any. That can happen. And we know what happened in Kansas, Did that big investigation on Tiller. You know what happened there. And so that's so radical and so far away from what the American people want. That's just one example.

News Hound Ellen at Crooks and Liars says: Yes, we know what happened in Kansas. O'Reilly was so obsessed with Dr. Tiller that he repeatedly called him "Dr. Tiller, the baby killer."The New York Times reported that Tiller faced death threats and harassment right up until he was assassinated by an anti-abortion extremist—in church. But despite repeated anti-abortion efforts to bring him down and Bill O'Reilly's "incontrovertible" evidence, Tiller was never found guilty of any wrongdoing.

TWEET OF THE DAY
BLAST FROM THE PAST
At Daily Kos on this date in 2008—Pelosi, At Papal Mass, Demonstrates Pro-Choice Politicians Not Prohibited From Receiving Communion:
Why is there a persistent belief among many that the Roman Catholic Church denies Communion to people—especially American politicians who are pro-choice and members of the Democratic party—who don't adhere to every tenet of Church doctrine?
Because many reporters are lazy and don't bother to figure out the facts. Four years ago American Bishops voted on a proposal to deny communion to politicians, and the proposal was rejected 183-6. And why has the issue come up? Because conservative political activists who are also Catholic have tried to make it an issue. For them, Church doctrine is only relevant on issues of the crotch. The Just War doctrine, economic justice, capital punishment, none of those things matter. No, the only things that matter for them are abortion, homosexuality and human conception. And they're trying to use the Church for their partisan political goals. And as seen by idiotic questions from reporters like this, they're at least succeeding with some dimwitted media types.
