You can’t make this up.
McDonald's Chief Executive Steve Easterbrook's total compensation for 2015 rose to $7.91 million, a 368 percent increase over his 2014 total pay of $1.69 million, according to proxy documents the company filed today.
Easterbrook, who took over as CEO of the fast-food giant in March 2015, had a base salary of $1.03 million, along with stock and option awards of just over $5 million and non-equity incentive plan compensation of $1.47 million. He also received an allowance for a company car, financial planning services, security, annual physical exams, use of the company's corporate aircraft and other limited personal items worth $224,235.
Easterbrook make the desperate mind-blowing move to start selling McDonald’s breakfast at any time. Besides being something that every teenager with the munchies has thought of since 1967 (and probably earlier), this is the kind of bullshit that passes for “innovation” these days. In unrelated news, don’t get burned while working the fri-o-lator at McDonald’s and don’t expect a living wage from them without a serious fight.
