247 delegates are up for grabs in New York, but more importantly for the Clinton campaign, there are now 1,400 pledged delegates left. Over 65% of the delegates will have been allocated.

I'm going to use Benchmark Politics three delegate projections to gauge where the race might stand after this evening.
Benchmark’s Final Prediction
~
- Clinton +35 ~ (141-106)
- Clinton needs 41.5% of the remaining delegates.
Benchmark's Best Case Sanders
~
- Clinton +19 ~ (133-114)
- Clinton needs 42.0% of the remaining delegates.
Benchmark's Best Case Clinton
~
- Clinton +49 ~ (148-99)
- Clinton needs 41.0% of the remaining delegates.

In Benchmark's best case scenario for Sanders, he would need a whopping 58% of the remaining 1,400 pledged delegates. Anything over +35 for Clinton and Sanders would need nearly 59% of the remaining delegates.
Short of unrealistic blowout wins by Sanders the rest of the way, this is an insurmountable lead with a fast shrinking pledged delegate pool. This victory in New York gives Hillary a formidable grasp on the Democratic nomination for President.
Coming up on April 26: Five states and 384 pledged delegates are up for grabs.

If you’re a Hillary supporter, it’s a great night to celebrate and feel happy!
