I can't help thinking today about how America looks in the eyes of the rest of the world. The most powerful, prosperous nation, with the most potential to do good and bring much-needed change to the planet...
...and for its highest office, it's holding up a hate-mongering, climate-change-denying Reality TV mogul with zero governmental experience and the vocabulary of a grade-schooler; and a hawkish big-money bedfellow who brings with her the baggage of an historically negative national favorability rating, an abysmally low honesty/trustworthiness rating, and an ongoing FBI criminal investigation.
We have reached a new low, and by a long mile.
Hillary Clinton claims today in the Washington Times that "The whole world wants me to beat Donald Trump."
Once more, we see the arrogance and myopia of a short-sighted, self-serving vision. The paradigm the "The world" outside the US needs so badly to see from us, what needs to be brought to the global table now, requires that Bernie Sanders beat Donald Trump.
One article of several excellent ones from an actual "world" journalistic perspective:
This is a Very Big Reason — among so many — that this fight for the good of the planet continues to catch fire… and will stay at the forefront through to the Convention and beyond.
