Most of you are already doing this. Please permit me to put it in writing.
1) Please do not ask Bernie supporters to do anything.
What do I mean by "do anything?" I mean ANYTHING. Most of you have very sensibly given up asking them to vote for HRC in the fall. Or not to vote for Trump. Or even to vote. But I'd go a step further than that. Don't ask them to work for the very Ds whom Bernie himself has endorsed. Don't ask them to work for the issues that he has embraced. (Good grief, don't even ask them to eat, sleep and breathe.)
Now most Bernie supporters are pretty reasonable folks, and might not react strongly against at least a few of these suggestions. But that's not the point. What I'm saying is that they neither need, nor want any recommendations at all from us. So let's not provide them with any. Even their own fellow Bernie supporters have gotten into trouble by attempting to do so.
2) There are several places where I believe further conversation may be merited, and/or productive.
2a) Defamatory allegations vs. HRC.
We've all seen them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But not their own facts. As a TU here, I can see a number of deleted diaries with some fairly horrific content. "Hillary is a Corporate Sock Puppet" is NOT a false factual assertion. It's an opinion. "Hillary and Bill murdered Vince Foster" is a false factual assertion. We all know the difference.
2b) Process issues.
Bernie supporters are bringing up some noteworthy and interesting process Qs. Whether it's convention committee assignments, the role (or very existence of) supers, open v. semi-open or closed primaries. Did the DNC and/or state parties put their "thumbs on the scale?" These are legitimate issues for dispassionate discussion, and they're about the future of our party. I'm all for it.
2c) Issue advocacy. (I don’t need to elaborate on this, do I?)
2d) Down-ticket candidates. (same comment as above).
3) Please do not remind Bernie supporters of delegate or popular vote arithmetic. They understand the numbers. They don't need to hear about them. They also know that Bernie is not going to be the nominee. He knows it, too.
4) Let’s keep talking about how we can beat Trump, and about our down-ticket candidates. Or other issue advocacy (BLM, GLBT, environmental issues etc.) That goes w/o saying, but I said it anyway :-)

I will say again what I've said before in some other diaries/comments. Once you go out in the field, F2F discussions with voters seem to be a bit more productive. The online environment seems to promote more acrimony than is normally engendered F2F. I have met many Bernie canvassers F2F, doing exactly what I do - knocking doors. They face the same challenges: yapping dogs, slammed doors, "get off my property!" (usually uttered by Trumpsters), and so forth. So they treat me as family, and I behave the same towards them.
I didn't meet any of them a week ago, when it was pouring rain, but I'm sure they were out there too, wondering how to keep their maps and walk packets dry - and hoping that their umbrellas could survive the wind. After six hours in the field, I turned in about 140 doors (I could’ve done better if there was better targeting *sigh*). I bet many of the Bernie canvassers (whom I didn’t see) did the same. Good for them!!
Even here on line, most of us, and most of the Bernie supporters are pretty reasonable.
Let's continue to be gracious.
