He can’t win. It's over. WTF are you telling people to send their hard-earned dollars to him for at this point?
Theoretically, he could win, I suppose—so could my cat.
Sure, it’s theoretically possible that 75% of the people of the remaining states will wake up one day and all decide to vote against Hillary.
Sure, it’s theoretically possible that the super-delegates will all collectively decide to vote against the popularly-voted nominee. That is actually what some Bernie supporters are actually hoping for.
Hillary has 2,274 delegates including 503 supers. Sanders has 1,539 delegates and 41 supers. Without the superdelegates, Hillary has a 1,771 to 1,498 lead over Bernie. There are only 781 pledged delegates left to contest.
Bernie would have to get OVER TWO-THIRDS of the remaining delegates JUST TO CATCH HER.
Since delegates are awarded proportionally, she could lose the remaining states and she would still win at this point—but she has a double digit lead in New Jersey and leads big in California.
She didn’t “steal” it, she earned it.
She has won MORE states, MORE of the popular vote, MORE regular delegates and MORE superdelegates. The only metric she fails at is number of people at rallies. That doesn’t mean your vote counts more than mine because you are more pumped about Bernie than I am about Hillary.
Votes: According to the aggregator RealClearPolitics, Bernie got 10 million votes nationwide. Hillary got 13 million.
States: Bernie got 18 states. Hillary got 23.
She earned it. She won. It’s OVER.
That’s not me hating on Bernie. That is how math works.
Telling people that Bernie is very close to some sort of coup and that he has a shot of winning if only you send him more money is taking advantage of the very people Democratic Socialism is trying to help!
Right now, there are a ton of state and local candidates who need to fight off Koch brother/Sheldon Adelson money backing extreme rightwing nuts who want to take away our healthcare, women's rights, and grow the income gap even more!
I’m not a Bernie hater. I appreciated him. I thought he did a great job pushing Hillary to the left and forced income inequality front and center. Any force that pushes the Democrats to the left is a good thing. Democratic Socialism is a good thing and no longer a dirty word.
At one time, he had my support. Now that Hillary is a few dozen away from the nomination, which she will easily get, she has my full support.
It wasn’t until this week, when Bernie pulled a Trump and pretty much tried to justify the ugly, violent behavior of a few idiots in his campaign who don’t know how to behave that I decided I could no longer appreciate him.
But none of that matters now. It is over.
Stop being dishonest with your own damn supporters and tell them the truth! That makes me more ticked off than anything! You should be ashamed!
And if you are one of those people being taken advantage of, here’s a better use for your money-— groceries, charity, your family. If you have the money to donate, give it to a candidate who needs grassroots support.
