Why do sooo many people defend the lies of Mrs. Clinton? I really do not understand this defense of deception by Mrs. Clinton. Her inability to speak plainly, openly and most importantly, honestly, is one of the biggest reasons I do not believe Mrs. Clinton will win in November. She lies too damn much.
Mrs. Clinton is under FBI investigation. Not a “security review”, which is a LIE, and she did not have State Department permission to use a private e-mail server. Which, gee, is another lie.
From the Inspector General’s Report
For the last two decades, both Department of State (Department) policy and Federal regulations have explicitly stated that emails may qualify as Federal records.
As is the case throughout the Federal Government, management weaknesses at the Department have contributed to the loss or removal of email records, particularly records created by the Office of the Secretary. These weaknesses include a limited ability to retrieve email records, inaccessibility of electronic files, failure to comply with requirements for departing employees, and a general lack of oversight
Amy Goodman at DemocracyNOW discuss these new revelations by the IG’s report.
From Wall Street on Parade :
The release of the State Department’s Inspector General report unequivocally shreds Hillary Clinton’s repeated public pronouncements that she had approval from the State Department to use a private email server in her home for all of her government work while she served as Secretary of State. In the video of her press conference on March 10, 2015 (see below), Hillary opens the subject of the private server with this statement:
“When I got to work as Secretary of State, I opted for convenience to use my personal email account, which was allowed by the State Department.”
Snip
“Secretary Clinton used mobile devices to conduct official business using the personal email account on her private server extensively, as illustrated by the 55,000 pages of material making up the approximately 30,000 emails she provided to the Department in December 2014. Throughout Secretary Clinton’s tenure, the FAM stated that normal day-to-day operations should be conducted on an authorized AIS, yet OIG found no evidence that the Secretary requested or obtained guidance or approval to conduct official business via a personal email account on her private server. According to the current CIO and Assistant Secretary for Diplomatic Security, Secretary Clinton had an obligation to discuss using her personal email account to conduct official business with their offices, who in turn would have attempted to provide her with approved and secured means that met her business needs. However, according to these officials, DS and IRM did not—and would not—approve her exclusive reliance on a personal email account to conduct Department business, because of the restrictions in the FAM and the security risks in doing so.”
(bold emphasis mine)
But in fact, it was not allowed by the State Department. Gee, all the diaries we have seen around these part shit shaming Sanders supporters for not following the “rules”, but gee, when their candidate BREAKS the RULES for personal convenience, and then LIES about it, you people defend the dishonesty. WTF? Where is the condemnation of Mrs. Clinton not following the rules? Double standard or situational ethics anyone?
But situational ethics is exactly something Kos warned us in 2008 about, Hillary and her supporter’s “situational ethics”.
People were freaking out over the RFK stuff, but really, the most infuriating part of this campaign is Clinton's lack of intellectual honesty. The shifting rationales. The constantly moving goal posts. The disrespect for rules and the intelligence of the public. Its rank dishonesty and purposefully flawed readings of history.
In short, the bullshit we've been subjected to the past four months. Had there been some intellectual consistency, then fine. But the "against it before it was politically necessary to be for it" bullshit has been unbearable.
Kos was referring to an article by Harold Meyerson at the WaPo:
Not a single Clinton campaign official or DNC Rules Committee member, much less the candidate herself, said at the time that the sanctions imposed on Florida or Michigan were in any way a patriarchal plot or an affront to democratic values. The threat that these rules posed to our fundamental beliefs was discovered only ex post facto -- the facto in question being Clinton's current need to seat the delegations whose seatings she had opposed when she thought she'd cruise to the nomination.
Clinton's supporters have every right to demonstrate on Saturday, of course. But their larger cause is neither democracy nor feminism; it's situational ethics. To insist otherwise is to degrade democracy and turn feminism into the last refuge of scoundrels.
(Emphasis mine)
Of course Kos warned us about Hillary and her supporters bald face lies, in a diary he titled, “Insulting people’s intelligence”.
One of the wonders of this primary season has been the ability of the Clinton campaign -- including Hillary herself -- and their supporters to engage in some of the most patently ridiculous and bald faced lies, knowing that everyone else knows they are engaging in patently ridiculous and bald faced lies.
Of course the diaries Kos is cranking out today are of a totally different nature, full of bald face lies, situational ethics and insulting people’s intelligence. Of course this is just par for the course. This behavior is rather typical once someone gets a little power, like Kos has, and it's gone to his head, and the people that blindly follow him.
Diary after diary was cracked out on this shit condemning Sander Supporters for their behavior at the NV state convention, with everyone of them LYING that Sander Supporters were violent and throwing chairs, which we have since learned, are LIES. Isn’t this a NAZI propaganda technique, tell a lie and keep repeating over and over till it becomes accepted?
Instead of using NAZI propaganda techniques, how about something different, like TELL THE TRUTH. If you don’t want our country to fall into fascism, stop using techniques from their play book.
Look, I understand, you are afraid of political revolution. You are afraid of a self identified socialist, you are afraid of change. I get that, I understand it, but I do not understand the LIES.
I’m afraid of Mrs. Clinton and the political (DLC triangulation) and economic ideology (Neoliberal) she embraces, which, has nothing to do with making the lives of the vast majority of Americans, any better. When she speaks, she says a lot about “shared responsibility and shared prosperity”, but where the hell was the shared prosperity during her husbands’ administration? Inequality and extreme poverty grew significantly under Bill’s administration, and the other day Mrs. Clinton said that she was going to put Bill in charge of revitalizing our economy.
Okay, but gee, the president’s commencement speech at Rutgers University in New Jersey, he said;
“In fact,” he said, “by almost every measure, America is better and the world is better than it was 50 years ago or 30 years ago or even eight years ago.”
If we’re doing so great, why would there be a need to have Bill revitalize our economy? What real good would it do when we, as a nation, have not addressed the structural and systemic problems within our economy, which Bill had a BIG HAND in deregulating, which directly lead to the situation we find ourselves into day.
Gee, none of the Wall Street executives, that didn’t follow the rules, haven’t been taken to task for destroying our economy, simply because they believe they OWN THIS DAMN country. They still have their jobs while they destroyed 11 trillion in wealth and 10 million jobs. But hey, they are the masters of the universe, so, we must bow to their superhuman intelligence.
Gee, if our world is better, why does our military budget, when actually totaled up, is greater THAN all OTHER NATIONS combined? If we are so much better off, why the need for such a huge military expenditure, at the expense of cities like Flint, Detroit and Chicago?
Look, I have no desire to return to the or any “good ole days”.
My desire is simple, I want the rule of law restored. I want the regulations that separated Investment banking and commercial banks put back in place. I want regulators to do their damn job. The entire financial crisis this country, and the world experienced, as a DIRECT result of the fraud and greed of wall street, which could have been completely avoided even without any new legislation, because the FED had unique authority to regulate mortgage lenders since 1994, as Professor William Black explains in his testimony before the investigative committee into the financial crisis:
According to the Guardian, Mrs. Clinton’s choice of her husband to revitalize our economy, was the number 3 person, out of 25 the Guardian reports as the most responsible for the Financial Crisis. Why would I want him anywhere near the controls of our economy? His policies of reduced, if not abandoned, supervision by regulators, as well as all the legislation he help deregulate, helped specifically to fuel the crisis.
Gee, as everyone around here has been hammering home about MATH, MATH, MATH, gee, do a little math your self. No supervision + no regulations = Financial Control Fraud. The “math” is rather easy, no degree in rocket science required.
The rise of Trump and Senator Sanders is a direct result of the “establishment”, of both parties, ignoring the the vast majority of the people for a very, very long time. We have been told, over an over, that there is no alternative since the Reagan years, and the Clinton’s, as well as main stream democrats, have fully embraced this ideology.
Mrs. Clinton LIED about Senator Sander when she said “I didn’t know where he (senator Sanders) was when I was health care in 93’ and 94’”. He was right behind her.
Why do you accept these bald face lies, as Kos has already warned about?
Gee, she LIED just over a month ago about supporting the fight for $15, but was called out for it.
Now, when you look at the decoupling of wages vs productivity, wages have stagnated but productivity has sky rocketed. Why? Why has the vast majority of those productivity gains gone to the top 1%, rather than “share” some of that prosperity with the people that actually made it happen? Mrs. Clinton talks a good game about shared responsibility and shared prosperity, but the EVIDENCE of that is lacking.
Corporations today enjoy an inversion of socialism. All their external costs (climate change) are born by society (the collective) and their profits are concentrated into the hands of a tiny few (the 1%).
Gee, the wall street bail out was an inversion of socialism. The banks got bailed out for committing crimes, but the people got the responsibility for bailing them out, when it was their crimes that crashed the system. Where is their shared responsibility for crashing our economy? They got bailed out, and even got huge bonuses for doing it. But America, and the world to a greater extent is paying for their crimes while they continue to enjoy the protection of our president, the MSM media and our party.
Mrs. Clinton inability to speak clearly, and honestly is a BIG part of her negative numbers
In a closed door meeting with supporters, she trashed Moveon.Org, but a year ago praised them. So which Hillary is here today?
Where is your outrage over the media's manufacture of consent? Maybe because they are helping your Neoliberal candidate, who is nothing more than a cheerleader for the 1%.
Of course you’ll flag me for that statement, but you recommend statements that call Bernie Sanders an asshole. Double standard anyone? Gee, with assholes like this in the party, who needs republicans?
Never, do you look or reflect on our party’s failures, because your too busy blaming someone else, rather than “sharing in the responsibility” of helping create this mess. What a bunch of fucking hypocrites!
