What did Senator Bernie Sanders do?
We are now waiting to see what will happen in the conventions. We know the two front runners each have enough votes to be mathematically the nominee...providing the voting goes their way.
From the beginning, I have been touched by self-declared Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders. We knew from the onset he was not going to win, and at the same time we have seen how he tirelessly carried on anyway.
It is sad that this election cycle is coming down to who out of two front runners is less hated. Both front runners have the same two faces; the mask usually displayed, right out of Batman, the “Joker”, or fixed smile, and the unforgettable face of rage when exposed in a faux pas and captured by the media.
In one party, there were many candidates, all of whom faced no chance of winning, and merely dropped out one after the other, just like the roster of famous actors who died one after the other in 1974’s “The Towering Inferno.”
The other party had a ‘token’ candidate who disappeared, and is probably already forgotten. That leaves Sen. Sanders. Sanders stands to the Left of the front runner, yet he will be remembered for going through the entire campaign without one mishap, face of rage, or scandal.
How do we fix the mess we are in? I agree with Sen. Sanders that there are wealthy people who can make life better for their fellow Americans! While I do not agree with the Senator as far as methods, I do see his point that there are many Americans in dire shape.
We know there are many Americans who cannot afford to eat properly, get proper medical care, send their children to get a good education, afford proper clothing, provide sufficient heat in the winter time, the list goes on and on.
I support those who show how bad a shape this country is in. And we know Sen. Sanders will not sell us out, he publicly denounced North Korea as a threat to the well-being of us and our allies. I encourage all of you to campaign for what needs to be done to get this country turned around.
It is up to all of us to solve this country’s problems. What can I do to help?
