Hey, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, you face a big challenge retaining control of the Senate in November and Donald Trump, your party’s presumptive presidential nominee, ended May with just $1.3 million in the bank compared with Hillary Clinton’s $42 million. What do you say?
"I don't particularly want to sit here today and critique the presidential campaigns," McConnell said flatly when asked about the glaring disparity.
Is that the “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” of politics? Thing is, when you’re one of your party’s top leaders and you won’t say a word about your presidential nominee, it’s kind of obvious you don’t have anything nice to say.
If you’re counting, this is the second week in a row McConnell has had nothing to say about Trump. Can someone put a truth spell on this guy? No doubt, it would be hugely entertaining if he said what he was really thinking.
