I’m retired from govt IT.
I can completely understand why Hillary kept a private server and hired her own employee to maintain it.
I’ve seen a few fools mention she could have protected her privacy with passwords.
Ha Ha Ha
Obviously you know nothing of computers. Server admins don’t need passwords to access your data — they can access anything they want through administrative utilities. They can change your password, then change it back.
But system administrators can be trusted. Surely none of them are republicans with an axe to grind?
Chelsea (formerly Bradley) Manning ring a bell?
After that massive leak of diplomatic cables, I can’t imagine any federal IT administrator persuading her to hand control of her email to them.
I also understand her wanting to use what she was comfortable with. Lots of people her age needed help making the transition to new technology. There were many who never made it and either let their secretaries handle it or had them print out the emails.
After being under the republican microscope for 20 or more years and their crass handling of details of her personal life, I do appreciate wanting just a touch of privacy.
