Tennessee congressional candidate Rick Tyler doesn’t even bother with the dogwhistle. Of course, he’s heard Donald Trump’s. Loud and clear.
The Washington Times reports:
“Mr. Tyler’s billboard, inspired by presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, was the first of many planned for the area in the months leading up to the November election.”
The jig is up. No more plausible deniability for those who like to argue that Mr. Trump is all about fixing what’s broke in our country, and not in the slightest interested in inspiring hatred and fear.
Blah blah blah. We can’t hear you.
Donald Trump and his supporters are what’s broke in our country. The success of his campaign is predicated on bigotry in its simplest, purest terms. We’ve sensed it since a year ago when he first offered that disquieting assessment of Mexican immigrants.
Those of us with two brain cells to rub together have, anyway.
