Ah, the poor delusional GOP. Here’s their bold, welcoming statement about the convention:

Do “Pulled Pork Tacos” count as representing Tex-Mex cuisine? Somehow I don’t think so, especially from a restaurant that is also serving New England Lobster Roll. There’s also not a whit of any cuisine east of Italy or south of Switzerland. This isn’t just European food — it’s northern European food. What, some fettuccine Alfredo would corrupt their purity? How about moussaka? And forget all Chinese, Japanese, Indian or other Asian dishes, even though more than one or two American citizens relish this part of their heritages.
If it’s perfectly appropriate for these good American citizens to enjoy and remember their immigrant forebears with gumbo, pierogis and kielbasa, why the silence about all the other delicious cuisines that immigrants have brought here? One of the joys of my childhood was the food fair at International House — seriously, give it all a try.
Don’t answer. I know already.
