Russia views cyber attacks as low level wars. Trump has just invited Russia to cyber attack the U.S. by asking them to hack into our State Department and meddle in our Presidential election.
Donald Trump Challenges Russia to Find Hillary Clinton’s Missing Emails
Mr. Trump’s call was an extraordinary moment at a time when Russia is being accused of meddling in the U.S. presidential election. His comments came amid questions about the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers, which researchers have concluded was likely the work of two Russian intelligence agencies.
Later in the news conference, when asked if he was really urging a foreign nation to hack into the private email server of Mrs. Clinton, or at least meddle in the nation’s elections, he dismissed the question. “That’s up to the president,” Mr. Trump said, before finally telling the female questioner to “be quiet — let the president talk to them.”
Mr. Trump has largely dismissed assertions that Russia was behind the Democratic committee breach as conspiracy theories — a view he reiterated again when he said the hack “is probably not Russia.”
In today’s presser, Trump managed to make an outrageous invitation to Russia to cyber attack the United States but refused to answer questions from the press as to whether or not Russian oligarchs are some of his investors.
Trump’s alarming invitation to Russia to hack into our State Department email system and meddle in our Presidential election, comes on the heels of his move to change his party platform to be more Pro-Putin and his earlier comments that he will not honor NATO.
” During a 45-minute conversation, he explicitly raised new questions about his commitment to automatically defend NATO allies if they are attacked, saying he would first look at their contributions to the alliance. Mr. Trump re-emphasized the hard-line nationalist approach that has marked his improbable candidacy, describing how he would force allies to shoulder defense costs that the United States has borne for decades, cancel longstanding treaties he views as unfavorable, and redefine what it means to be a partner of the United States.
Giving a preview of his address to the convention on Thursday night, he said that he would press the theme of “America First,” his rallying cry for the past four months, and that he was prepared to scrap the North American Free Trade Agreement with Mexico and Canada if he could not negotiate radically better terms.
He even called into question whether, as president, he would automatically extend the security guarantees that give the 28 members of NATO the assurance that the full force of the United States military has their back.
For example, asked about Russia’s threatening activities that have unnerved the small Baltic States that are the most recent entrants into NATO, Mr. Trump said that if Russia attacked them, he would decide whether to come to their aid only after reviewing whether those nations “have fulfilled their obligations to us.”

The Hillary campaign Senior Foreign Policy Advisor, Jake Sullivan, immediately fires back with a statement:
“This has to be the first time a major Presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent. That’s not hyperbole, those are just the facts. This has gone from being a matter of curiosity in politics to a National Security Issue.”

Reactions from the media are: shocking, stunning, astonishing, dangerous, outrageous, beyond the pale, alarming, concerning, unqualified, unfit, ignorant of foreign policy…
And of note, when Trump was asked directly in today’s presser if he would denounce Russia for hacking into one of our country’s major political party’s systems, he refused to admonish them for it.
