I was a supporter of Bernie Sanders and I still am. To me, that means being respectful enough to do what the man asks. If you were going to trust him to be president, why can't you trust him to do the right thing now? It's because you think you are smarter than him, isn't it? But you are actually being manipulated.
The recent Russian (probably) leak of emails showing how the DNC was not nice to Bernie could not be a more blatant piece of propaganda. Is it true? Probably. Is it really that bad? No. Did it sway the election? No chance. I'm not saying it was right, I'm just saying it was a mole hill not a mountain. But if you want to make a mountain out of it, if you are too upset to work with Democrats, Republicans couldn't be happier.
Now a "report" has come out saying that if the election was fair, Bernie would have won. Is it true? No. Bernie lost because he failed to appeal to older people of color, at least in time. It was hard for me to grasp at first, but that's it. They didn't trust him. Imagine that. If the election were held today he would still lose. Bernie knows this. That's why he stood down. But if you want to believe this smear, Republicans think that's great.
Then there was the kerfuffle at the convention about seating. Look, the party bent over backward to include us and our policies in the convention and platform. You should make them glad, not sorry, that they did. That's what Bernie would want, but Republicans like it if you are disgruntled and making enemies. "Vote for Jill Stein!" they say.
People have been saying since the beginning of Bernie's run that it was over, give up. But now it actually is over. "Revelations" at this point serve only one purpose--to empower Republicans.
Republicans know how to divide and conquer. They will lead you to cut your nose off to spite your face for their benefit. They will instill a vague FUD that Hillary is evil--the evilest. And by comparison everyone else--anyone else--is good. But Bernie doesn't believe this. Bernie knows it's bullsh*t.
Are Republicans the party of fair trade and peace? Of course not. Republicans have set the policy standards for free trade and warmongering for decades. Are Republicans the party of free and fair elections? Hell, no! Don't let them fool you. The only people it serves for you to think both parties are the same is the worse party.
Republicans want you to mistrust, resent and even hate Hillary and the Democratic Party because it furthers their cause. It hurts Hillary and the Democratic Party, but more importantly, it disempowers you and your dangerous populist, left wing ideas by cutting you out of major party representation. Don't take their bait and don't let them take your power.
