We have a really good candidate in Shelli Yoder for IN-9. Shelli lives in my hometown of Bloomington, IN. She has an impressive resumé including leading non-profits related to health care and the improvement of conditions in at-risk communities.
Please do what you can to help elect Shelli in IN-9 against the absolutely awful Trey Hollingsworth. This seat was previously held by a complete douchebag, Todd Young, since 2010 but he is now running for Senate. But “Tennessee Trey”, as hard it is to believe, is worse.
Here is Shelli’s website:

I will post more about her, but I have to go to work and I promised Meteor Blades I would get something going for down ticket races. I will respond to comments at lunch time. Please do what you can to help turn Indiana a little less red.
Here is the posting from the DCCC's Red to Blue effort:
Yoder’s race in IN-09 considered one of the top battlegrounds in the nation
Bloomington, IN — Today the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced it is adding Indiana’s Shelli Yoder to its list of prime pick-up opportunities for House Democrats. The announcement comes as Yoder also picked up the Indiana Federation of Teachers and the Indiana State AFL-CIO endorsements. Recent polling has showed Yoder tied with carpetbagger “Tennessee Trey” Hollingsworth in the race to fill the open congressional seat in south-central Indiana.
“As a mom, teacher, public servant and lifelong Hoosier, Shelli Yoder has unique appeal in this open seat and has earned a spot on our Red to Blue program,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “Meanwhile, Tennessee Trey has turned off voters by thinking he can use his family’s money to buy a seat in Congress, which is not how you win over Hoosiers. We’re confident that Shelli Yoder’s impressive career – and a notably weak carpet-bagging Republican opponent – mean that voters will send a Democrat to Congress in November.”
Shelli Yoder said that the move will work to boost the momentum her campaign is seeing on the ground. “Hoosiers are looking for someone who will fight for them and who represents our unique brand of family values. Trey Hollingsworth is trying to buy a congressional seat, but he cannot buy a Hoosier’s trust. I am committed to standing up for this community that I have belonged to my entire life. We will win this election in November.”
Yoder, a Monroe County Councilor, is one of five candidates that were added to the Red to Blue program today. The program highlights House districts where Democrats see the greatest opportunities to go on the offense in their effort to retake the majority.
