Here’s a (probably partial) list of Republicans who have repudiated, rejected, rebuffed, or renounced Donald Trump in just this past week.
Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO) has made an ad in which he says “if Donald Trump is the president, I’ll stand up to him.”
Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) says he will not support Trump. “I’m an American before I’m a Republican.”
Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY) says he’s voting for Hillary Clinton, calling Trump “a national embarrassment.”
Meg Whitman, CEO of Hewlett Packard and GOP candidate for governor of California in 2010, has thrown her support to Hillary Clinton, calling Trump “a demagogue”.
That’s just the last week. But from farther back in time:
Mitt Romney saw where the train was headed and got off early.
“I wanted my grandkids to see that I simply couldn’t ignore what Mr. Trump was saying and doing, which revealed a character and temperament unfit for the leader of the free world.”
