I am so SICK of the media banging on and on and on and on and on and on and on about Hillary Clinton’s damn emails. There is no story there. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Zilch. But even a friggin’ FBI investigation doesn’t make the vacuous talking heads of today shut up about it.
Maybe there would have been a story there if something bad had happened because an email fell into the wrong hands. BUT THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN. Nobody even pretends that it happened. So. What. Is. The. Point?
It reminds me of the lead up to the Iraq invasion. There were no weapons of mass destruction. That was well understood outside the United States. But in America? The media banged on and on and on and on and on and on and on that there was a “there” there. They had the same info that journalists around the globe had. Hell. If you listened to an hour of CNN International and then an hour of domestic CNN you would think you had stepped into an alternate universe and the kicker is that they are headquartered in the same building. American media knew the truth but it didn’t care.
You know what emails I want to see? I want to see the emails America’s media professionals were sending to each other behind the scenes as they boostered the United States into the Iraq War by treating transparent lies as ‘fact’.
It isn’t all that different from what they are today when echoing far right talking points about Clinton’s emails (and the Clinton Foundation).
Talk about lacking judgement and being untrustworthy. But then, it has been well established that as much as the media likes to talk about Clinton’s ‘unfavorable’ numbers, their own are much (much, much) worse.
