Rates of people doing this are at historically high levels jumping 27 percent since 2000, according to a report from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
What is it I am talking about? Suicide.
The facts:
Nearly three million adults made a plan to take their own life. And 1.4 million adults attempted suicide but weren’t successful, according to the report.
The latest SAMHSA report revealed an increase in suicidal thoughts among 18 to 25 year olds -- from 7.5 percent in 2014 to 8.3 percent in 2015.
Each year, more than 42,000 Americans die from it, thus making it the 10th leading cause of death.
In my view suicide is neither “immoral” (Whatever that word means) not should it be illegal (as it had been in the past.)
There are some conditions/situations in which people should be given the ultimate control of their body, as long as it does not harm others,
Just thought I’d report the facts and follow-up with my diary from a few nights ago.
