Usually I spend a month or so in each city I visit, but Arizona is a definite “no-no” for overnight parking, so instead of living in a Walmart parking lot like I normally do, I’ll be spending my nights in truck stops. I’m only gonna be here for about ten days, just long enough to do a whistle-stop tour. On the “to-see” list are the Pima Air and Space Museum, the Titan II Missile Museum, the Sonora Desert Museum, the Tombstone OK Corral, the Commemorative Air Force Museum, the Petrified Forest, and Meteor Crater.
Alas, I don’t have a good wifi connection here, so I’ll likely not be able to upload many photos until I get to Albuquerque late next week. (For some odd reason known only to the Internet Gods, I can’t connect to DKos from any McDonald’s—it always times-out the connection. Every other website loads just fine, it’s only DK that seems to choke it—and I can connect to DK just fine from a Burger King or Walmart. It might be some sort of glitch with McD’s filtering system.)
