I feel compelled to remind the Republican National Committee of the steps you’ll be required to take if you truly want to terminate Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign:
1. You’ll have to endure a 72-hour waiting period, which is established with the hope that you’ll reconsider this decision.
2. You’ll be required to look at screen shots of Trump’s campaign web site, to fully recognize that his campaign – up to this point – is still a living thing.
3. You’ll be required to answer questions from campaign professionals. Do you know that this action is irreversible? Have you thought about the pain and suffering you’ll cause? Have you thought about how you’ll feel weeks or months down the road?
4. Your members will be required to drive across several several states, as this campaign can only be terminated at RNC headquarters in Washington. And don’t think about consulting any elected Republicans on this matter, as it’s illegal for any federal funds to be allocated in support of such termination activity.
5. As you enter the RNC office, you’ll be required to run a gauntlet of protesters, most of them holding signs, writing down your license plate numbers, and screaming at you not to go through with it.
6. In signing the final paperwork, you’ll need to disclose all of your donors/supporters you’ve had a relationship with, as they all need to be informed of this termination.
Beyond that, it should be pretty easy.
