Donald Trump is certainly going all-in for the men's rights, gamergate, alt-right, alpha male crowd. Trump got to speak for more than one minute longer than Hillary Clinton did during Sunday night's debate. And he used most of that time to whine about how he wasn't getting more time.
TRUMP: Excuse me. She just went about 25 seconds over her time.
RADDATZ: She did not.
TRUMP: Could I just respond to this, please? [...]
TRUMP: You know what’s funny? She went over a minute over, and you don’t stop her. When I go one second over, it’s like a big deal.
RADDATZ: You had many answers.
TRUMP: It’s really — it’s really very interesting.
He complained about the moderators and rules at least five times during the debate. Very early on, he'd already decided the game was rigged, complaining immediately after a long response from Clinton about her emails that the moderators weren't bringing up … her emails.
TRUMP: I’d like to know, Anderson, why aren’t you bringing up the e-mails? I’d like to know. Why aren’t you bringing…
COOPER: We brought up the e-mails.
TRUMP: No, it hasn’t. It hasn’t. And it hasn’t been finished at all. [...] It’s nice to — one on three.
Again, Trump got to speak more than Clinton did, and these complaints don’t include his many, many interruptions and grunts and insulting asides. And he still thought the debate moderators were working against him.
Because apparently that's how Donald Trump shows "strength" and "leadership"—by whining when other people are allowed to talk, too.
