Actor and political humorist Russell Brand can be very funny. And this short clip from The Jonathan Ross Show is very funny. But some of the quips within the video might just be some of of Brands’s funniest ever as he exemplifies the essence of Trump’s ego. Judge for yourself (and maybe put down that beverage of choice before viewing to avoid nose spews).
Here is the video:
Here are some transcribed excerpts from after Jonathan Ross asked Brand about meeting Trump in person.
Yeah, he was actually really rude to me … I sort of look at him like a wanton baby, ‘Waaaah, Waaaah!’ He invited me into his Trump Tower and it’s got like his name on it, which is sort of charming in a way. It’s like a baby would, ‘MY TOWER! MINE! Build A Wall! Build a Tower!” I went in his office and he said, ‘You can choose anything one thing from the office!’ And like I thought that was a weird thing to say, sort of a “Willie Wonka” movie, no? He had Mohamad Ali’s Heavyweight Boxing Belt on the wall and I like good spots memorabilia and I thought I should have some of that, but then he’s have one over me … so I’ll take that pen, mate… I should have taken his hair dryer.
Alas. We can’t take back the fact that our country has allowed a human being like Donald Trump to come so close to the White House and so close to becoming a world leader—or should I say a world destroyer as any many have now come to believe. But we can right this historic wrong, for ourselves and people around the globe, by making the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s win the biggest landslide in history. And we can do this while enjoying a bit of comic relief now and then. So, thank you for that, Russell Brand. MY TOWER!
