The GOP’s nightmare…...hehe
Joan Walsh interviewed Tim Kaine for "The Nation". Really is a good read.
Kaine is working hard to model a style of male leadership that is not merely comfortable working on behalf of a female candidate, but is confident and joyful while doing so. During a week in which Trump’s recorded boasts about sexual assault, the allegations of sexual abuse emerging against him, and the unending sexist comments made by the candidate and his minions have made many of us feel we’ve endured low-level toxic poisoning, watching Kaine on the stump was reassuring—soothing, even.
He began and ended his remarks as he often does: by pointing to the sexism his running mate has faced throughout her career, and how men can play a crucial role in promoting her now. “Anybody ready to make history in about three and a half weeks? Because that’s what we’re doing. We are battling hard and we’re going to make history by electing a super-qualified Hillary Clinton to be president, and elect the first woman president of the United States. I have always, always been able to have a strong career in politics because of the support of so many strong women…. I am so proud to be a strong man supporting a strong woman who’s going to be our first president and make history!”
Southern New Jersey's Courier-Post endorses Hillary
Hillary Clinton understands the issues facing our country, offers practical solutions and articulates a vision for bolstering America’s greatness by fulfilling its promise to all Americans. And unlike Donald Trump, she has the experience, the temperament, the maturity and the grasp of policy needed to lead this nation during a time of rapid change.
Clinton listens to differing opinions, owns up to her mistakes and moves forward. She is among the most qualified and most vetted candidates ever to seek our nation’s highest office, and she has what it takes to command our troops, stabilize the Supreme Court, fix our aging infrastructure and guide a shift to cleaner energy to meet the challenge of climate change.
Clinton has had to be smarter, work harder, wait longer and take more of a beating than any presidential contender in recent memory. She has maintained her composure in the face of unceasing personal attacks and disproportionate investigations into her husband’s infidelities and her handling of an attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. She has been tested as a leader, and she has passed that test.
Hillary Clinton is the person best positioned to lead America for the next four years.
