referring to an article in the Midnight Sun: MIDNIGHT SUN EXCLUSIVE: New Poll Shows Trump-Clinton Tied In Alaska. The site is run by this guy, who was previously the Communications Director for the Alaska Republican Party, among other things.
The key is the source of the information:
The Alaska Democratic Party commissioned a poll:
The poll was conducted by Washington D.C. based Lake Research Group from October 11-13 and surveyed 500 likely general election voters.
Results were Trump 37,Clinton 36, Johnson 7, Stein 3.
MoE 4.4%
Lake had done a similar poll Aug 9-14, where the results had been Trump 38, Clinton 30, Johnson 11, and Stein 2. This shows that Trump has largely stalled, and Clinton has gained somewhat from Johnson.
This is just the latest poll to show the presidential race tightening in Alaska. Last week the Alaska Dispatch News released a poll showing Trump ahead by only 5.5 points and Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s campaign released their own internal polling showing Trump up an even slimmer 3 points.
But both of those polls were taken before the Access Hollywood video broke.
While I doubt that either Clinton or Trump would make a trip to Alaska for its 3 electoral votes, it might be worth the Clinton campaign dumping some money into the state.
